Your opinion on the matter?

Was in discussion with friend of mine who works in Sound Production.

He brought up the case that you should take a break from Production/Mastering of a track at least every 30 mins to allow youur ears to stop gradually blocking frequencies.
I personally think that there is truth in it but what do you think?

agree'd i always need breaks from music when producing mastering even djing .
let them restore and carry on.
find when i lisern to music constant and try and mix or produce notes etc aint clear enough.
breaks are good , gives you time to think too about the levels.

Well I'm a binge producer, in that I dont get too much time to myself, what with the family/work/friends/gaming... I usually put thursday nights aside for producing and I will be on it from 7 till 2-3 , but then it'll take me a few days to fiddle and chop n change till i'm happy.
But It's always nice to come back to a fresh tune after time out.

I usually spend like 5-6 a day making tunes and can really feel the effects afterwards.
Then somedays I'll try and keep in silence to give myself a rest mentally.
